I don't know where to begin. What should I do to find out this information? I do not live in WV., so I don't have acces to their old news papers. Are they anything that I can do by internet to help me find out? Any help will be appreciated!

That may be difficult, since you can't go there, and their newspapers are probably not archived back that far on the internet.

Do you know the name of the town? If so, perhaps you could contact the police department. If it is still unsolved, most PDs now have what is called a "cold case unit". If the town is too small, then the state police or equivalent. If the case was solved and prosecuted, you might want to try contacting the prosecutor's office in the area.

If you are getting to dead ends, you might want to try and contact the victim's asstance of the police department nearest the area where it occurred, and you may be able to get someone there to help you ferret out this information from a distance.

There are people out there willing to help, you just gotta hook up with them.

Best wishes in this endeavor.
