A beauty advisor can help with the makeup part. A lot of counters do makeovers for free and will even do them the day of your wedding. Call around and find someone who will do that. Make an appointment BEFORE the big day to have a trial run(this is important- you don't want surprises the day of your wedding)Bring color swatches if you have them so they can coordinate your look. Be prepared to BUY something- even if it's just your lipstick(a good idea, actually, so you can reapply it throughout the day). These ladies have to sell a certain amount every day- they can't spend a lot of time on you without losing sales. Be fair.

when I got married I hired my hair dresser and my make up artist do all that. In terms of deciding on a hair style, for long hair I would definitely go with a up-do. Also, pick up some of the celebrity magazines like "People" and check out how the celebs are wearing their hair on the red carpet.

As far as makeup goes, stay with natural earth tones(browns, taupes, peaches). Some colors (blue etc. ) will make you look tired in pictures not to mention "made up."

Whatever you do, don't cut your hair. If you don't like how it turns out, one week will not be enough time to grow it out.
