Why there is neither the minimum qualification, nor the upper age limitation for the politicians in India.

Who said there is no minimum qualification required. One should have at least one criminal case pending, One should know the art of booth capturing, should be a master in magic act of disappearing for five years etc etc. They become so busy in serving the people they forget they have to retire.

periodic elections are the most essential requirement of a democracy. winnability is the only criteria for elections. if voters elect an illiterate or a nonagenarian, the same cannot be open for criticism. that the system does not work at its best at all times is an aberration rather than a fault.
