Do you really want all the mindless to not fear eternal damnation? The world would descend into chaos. What needs to be sorted out is the politics of religion; churches infiltrated and they're political power used to better mankind. Someone appoint me supreme leader of this world.

Religion makes no logical sense to me. My choice.

Probably because basically all religions are still not proved to be true. Why should people waste their time worshiping something that most likely doesn't exist. I mean...the only proof they have is some book that anyone could have written.

And religion has not just "used their political power to better mankind." haha
I just got out of US history and wow....those christians and catholics sure didn't do any "better-ing of mankind." haha

because so many people are tired of waiting for "god" to make an appearance. so as more generations pass, more people are leaning towards atheism. i am an atheist and i am far from mindless. i cant help but wonder if the opposite is true for people such as yourself though.

may the mindless forever fear eternal damnation.

I don't think so many people are pro-atheism. I think they are a minority that get a lot of attention when they speak because there views are so dramatically different from the majority. But just because someone isn't an atheist, it doesn't make him a christian either. I think the majority are people who just don't know what to believe so they just try to do the best they can.

More wars have been fought in the name of religion. It is easier to believe in that which you can touch and see as opposed to a benevolent "higher power" that allows such suffering in the world.

Because the modern society recognises the fallacy of faith, hence most people do not wish to put themselves in such a vulnerable position in that leap of faith. Science is indeed a tempting cushion.

And quit assuming that if someone doesn't believe in God then they must have no morals. It's all black and white to you people....
