Hi,

There are a number of places and people that offer guitar lessons, but prices range depending on your preference for individual vs. group lessons and other factors.

Jaron Kamin offers lessons out of his studio in Cardiff or at your house. A 30-minute lesson at the studio is $20, a 60-minute lesson $40. Add $5 if you want the lesson at your house. This seems pretty affordable. Also, if you can find at least one more person to take the lessons with you you can qualify for a group rate of $25 pp for a 60-minute lesson. Here's his website:

Moze Guitars offers guitar lessons at their store during store hours, and students typically have one-on-one lessons for half an hour a week for a cost of about $20 per lesson. Here's their website:

Kirk Cumming charges $30/lesson, and he holds the lessons either at his location in Encinitas or at your home. Here's his email:

kirk1972@hotmail.com

He works by appointment, so there aren't formal group classes set up.

Kevin Paluzzi also offers lessons, but there are no prices listed on his website. Note that he offers a free first lesson if you mention that you saw him on craigslist, if you want to try him out before you decide. You can contact him directly for more information:

paluzzik@aol.com

Same story with Coast Guitar. No prices listed. Email them for more info:

CoastGuitar@san.rr.com

California Music Studios (800-227-6222) offers group or one-on-one lessons starting from $125 a week, which is a little pricey. They have a bunch of locations in SD. Just type in your zip code on their web page and it'll check for avaibility in your area. Here is their website:

I'd suggest going with one of the first three in the list above. Have fun!
