Honestly?.....If she needs a 25k ring to feel good about marrying you then you ought to rethink the whole thing. First of all....how can you keep up the rest of your life after a start like that? Next...I can speak from experience.....My first wedding was about the ring, the dress, the bridesmaids, the cake, the honeymoon..... we spent thousands of dollars.....the only problem was that after I had my day" then I realized I got married to be married.....and that I didn't want that guy. After 6 miserable years I get a divorce and it took almost 10 years to do it again...this time we went to Vegas with friends, had a very informal wedding and had a blast......even got married by Elvis! and tomorrow is my 2nd anniversary and I am so happy this time........Learn from my mistakes........ go for someone who loves YOU not your wallet or to impress friends.

Sounds like your in for a long strange trip. She is self (rich *****)reliant/sufficient with expensive tastes. So she can pay for what she wants, better question is do you want to be a trophy hubby until she sees better eye candy. How do you feel about that? Comfortable with that type of woman? Doesn't sound like she care about your feelings but her desires only on a superficial level. Asking this question, I sense you have too much pride to stay the course with her for long....hmmmmm

Well at least if you guys break up she won't have to return it to you. Obviously the whole BIG engagement ring thing is more important to her than the actual engagement. If she was happy to be marrying you, you could give her the crappiest ring and she would love it cause it came from you. Good luck!!

I m worry for you. Can you be compatible after gettting married? Why invest in a ring for $25 K. She is not spending her money wisely no doubt she can afford it.

I would prefer a ring from my fiance no matter how much it costs and save the 25K. Marriage is a long journey, we dunno wat will happen along the journey.

Be realistic in life. Tell her she need not spend tat much money. Love is having the right to tell wat is wrong and wat is right even it hurts.

Congratulations and God Bless

Maybe she just wants a ring, not marriage.
