My best friend had PID last year but she didn't know it. It became so severe that one of her ovaries exploded. Her uterus was completely filled with pus and she almost died. They removed one ovary and one fallopian tube. The other ovary and fallopian tube did sustain some damage. She made it through all of that and is now a healthy three months pregnant!!
