First Bus are taking the p*s* as when I first "invested "in a One ticket to get me from South Queensferry to Edinburgh it was just over £40 a month an my last one ticket cost me £48. I was under the impression that people were being encouraged to take the bus to work etc., but one must consider the cost of a One ticket then consider how much sharing the cost of a months travel by car.
Sorry First Bus you loose, as most colleges & uni's have notice boards which are full of students offering lifts to others at a fraction of the cost of your One ticket. Someone did say that First Bus were considering giving students a discount.......Anyone else know about this?

I think it's disgusting. Last monday travelling from Aberdeen to Glasgow i was happy to pay only £6.50. On friday the exact same journey cost me £17.50 ?????? WHY???! To sit in a horrible cold bus for almost four hours, delayed an hour and not going above 50mph. The train is about £65 though, which is even a bigger rip off. Public transport fares should be lowered to encourage more poeple to use them.

It's crazy, they want people to use public transport and all they've ever done is to cut routes and hike up prices. The council are forever pandering to them by applying bus lanes but they're response is to cut how many buses use those particular routes. They're plain crazy and obviously have never had to use public transport themselves.

It's ridiculous! My brother was made to pay an adult fare despite being under 16.

While it doesn't affect me at all -- do you think it could have something to do with rising gas (petrol) costs? Do you expect them to subsidize your transportation?
