I'm 13, my mom worries a lot about my breats health and don't want boys staring at them. I'm a C cup, so, she makes me wear bras that give much support and no see-through. But I think she goes overboard, I don't like those bras, they are rather confining and hot, especially in the summer. I complained and complained, but she says it's for my best and doesnt' back off. I don't want to rebel, I know she's sure it's for my best, she's a nice mom, but kinda strict on her bra rules. One of the bras are gotta wear is on the website below, the others are alike. http://www.anita.com/de/en/0,1,104,1478,39236__products-detail.htm They all have 4 rows of hooks in the back. Don't u agree it's not the kind of bra a 13 yo would enjoy? How can I make my mom chage up her mind without rebelling? (I don't rebel, but on this bra thing once I tried. Mom didn't get that mad at me but I got a punishment: for a week, after homework I had to copy by hand a text on the importance of bras . One hour to do it

Did she take you to a nice store to get measured for bras? If not, talk her into taking you to a lingere section of a good department store and get measured by the saleslady there. Get her to help you pick out some stuff that will give you good support but look more like a young ladies bra.

Oh God, that's horrible. I'm a C cup, but I don't wear bras that are that industrial looking. Of course, I'm a little older than you too. On the bright side though, your breasts are getting a lot of support from those bras, so I guess it's better in the long run.

Try talking to her about it. Tell her that the bras are uncomfortable. Ask for her advice on which kind of bra would be more comfortable, but still as supportive. Tell her the same things you just told us. She should be more understanding.

i had the same problem growing up...She is right. I was in the same position as you are when growing up...I wanted to wear the lacr frilly ones that the other girls were wearing. You should be going to a store and being prefessionally fitted. They do have bras that have the same support that are a little prettier to wear. Trust me...you will be thanking your Mom for caring. Just come up with a compromise with her. Look up lingerie storesin your area fro the same size...and make an appointment for a proper fitting. Its not about what you enjoy wearing, its about what is good for you in the long run

What is wrong with that kind of bra??? It looks like it is comphy and will support you! At 13 you don't need to have a "sexy" bra. That is for adults only. You just need to have something to support you. So just relax. When you are 18 and out of the house then you can where what you want. Until then or when you have your own money, you will have to wear what your Mama says to wear.

well...im not a girl but that thing looks like it would itch like hell in the warm weather...there is no reason that she would make you wear something as ugly and uncomfortble as that because theres bras out there that do everything that those do and are way more comfortable. your mom seems to be afraid that you will wear something thats revealing or that you are slutty. i thinkl that especially because she punished you by making you do linesabout how important bras are. she needs to wake up and listen to your concerns and needs. go sometime with a friend or aunt and get measured and get something you are comfortable in. wear them instead of the other ones. good luck with t hat

EEWWEE!

Try to find an alternative bra that you can both agree on and present that to your mother. Do it without complaining and/or whining, and tell her nicely that you want to compromise with her.

There are plenty of lightly padded bras out there that are supportive and not see-through.

Christ. That looks like a chinese torture device. You can get full coverage bras that will be much more comfortable, and aren't "sexy" or otherwise inappropriate for your age. I told my mom flat out I would never wear anything that isn't comfortable on me, I would rather go without. If she wont listen, talk to another female adult you trust, and maybe she can talk to your mom for you. Show her what kind of bras your mom is having you wear. I'm a 34D myself and would never ever wear a torture device like that.
