It is in the name practice sats. Meaning that colleges may look at them, which is rare, but they cannot use them to decide who to accept and who to reject.

PSATs are practice, and the college or university you apply to will most likey not look at the score. But you should take them. It will help you prepare for the SATs and even ACTs. When you get your results back it will show you the score they predict you will get on the actual SATs. It will show you where you are strong and where you are weak. An excellent way to prepare.

The PSAT scores are not reported to colleges. They are just to give you practice, and see what areas (vocabulary, comprehension, math) you might need to work on before taking the SATS
