I am tied to x-husb by my 2 children (now young adult) I wish I could cut my ties to him. But somehow I have grown attached to him in an unexplainable way. I care for him. As much as I would for one of my brothers. I don't want him there on that level. I want to be indifferent about him. Please what is your advise

You will always be attached to your ex no matter what. It doesn't matter that your children are young adults or not. He is the farther of your children. That will never change. You can only change your level of feeling if you really want to. That is up to you and no one else.
What is really wrong will having feeling of him like a brother it is better that having hate all the time or being in love with him again.

It is very difficult. I was married 12yrs. My wife and I are separated and she lives with another man. I still love her very much. I want to move on but like you we have a child together. I have custody but everytime I see her or she calls to talk to him my feelings return, especially at night when I go to bed alone, knowing she is wife another man now after all the time we spent together. It may take you along time or someone special but you will never forget.

You feel that way because of past association and may be because of children. You may have divorced him but you were really not wanting to divorce him. It happens sometimes and the result is your longing for him although it is all over.
