Without any consent, you have to be 18 years old. You can be younger but a parent needs to be present and sign a form that it is ok for you to have a tattoo.

Think long and hard about getting a tattoo. What may seems fun, cute, macho, or sexy now might not seem so 20 years from now. And tattoo removal is not cheap or painless. It also leaves a scar.

If that isn't enough for you, the Bible says we aren't to mark our bodies. If you are Jewish, you can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery if you have a tattoo, so again, think long and hard about getting one.
