No. Ultrasound just give you a collective visualization of the fetus to make sure he has four extremities, a head and a body, and the sex.

A standard ultrasound is used to show lung development between weeks 34 and 37 in cases where the baby may be born any moment prematurely.
Between 25 and 34 weeks, hormones are used to speed lung development if premature birth is imminent, but ultrasound is not considered a reliable tool for guaging lung development at that point. They are just too small to see properly. In some hospitals a 3D ultrasound is used in these cases, but often they are not significantly clearer images to justify the greater cost.
That said, most babies will be fine after 34 weeks as long as the pregnancy has been properly dated.

No, I believe a sample of the amniotic fluid is what tells the doctors about the lung development of the fetus.

Ultrasounds are amazing. I just had one a while ago. Although we did not discuss that specific of detail, I assume if you call a doctor's office in your area that does ultrasounds, they will be able to tell you. If there is a concern, you may want to discuss it with your doctor. That is what you pay them the big bucks for!

No, I'm pretty sure it cannot. But doctors can do an amniocentisis to test for lung development.

No. A baby that is born with lung problems are undiagnosed in-utero (in the womb), that is why if not caught as soon as they are born is the reason for a lot of infant death.
