Yes, and I love you too -- which doesn't mean that you aren't mistaken.
I believe what the Bible says about homosexuality exactly as much as I believe what it says about planting seed together and about wearing clothing of mixed fabric [Leviticus 19:19]. I accept that the Bible is correct about being gay in exactly the same way that I accept what it says about committing genocide in god's name [Joshua 10:40-42 and Joshua 11: 18-23]; about god accepting a human sacrifice [Judges 11:30-39]; about a successful land sacrifice (looking EXACTLY like the land sacrifices being offered by other pagan kingdoms) [II Samuel 21] and about god causing cannibalism among the people [Deuteronomy 28: 53-59].
The Bible is a book full of historical errors [We now know that Jericho was abandoned for hundreds of years before the story of its seizure by the Israelites, additionally, we know that it was NEVER walled. The battle of Jericho never took place therefore], biological errors [Leviticus 11: 21-23 -- locusts have six feet of course], and mathematical errors [Numbers 3:16-39 -- add them up yourself, 300 more than the Bible totals the numbers to].These are a few of hundreds upon hundreds of errors and contradictions -- and we are not even taking into account the 200,000 minimum differences between the few thousand fragments we have prior to the 6th century -- some of which could change Christian doctrine entirely.
So the short answer is I don't believe what the Bible says -- about homosexuality or anything else. The earth does not sit on pillars [I Samuel 2:8] nor is it established atop the waters [Psalms 24:1-2]. It does not have corners [Isaiah 11:12], nor do there exist treasuries of the air -- though that is not an uncommon thought in the days that the bible was written [Psalm 135:7].
The Bible has little to do with historical Christianity (the canon of books was not established until after the Council of Nicea and not finalized until the Council of Carthage, in the 390s AD). Christianity is all about following Christ, not about following a book. Therefore, no Christian who loves Jesus Christ needs worry about what a bronze age book of myths says about anything.
I'm sorry that you feel otherwise and have been led into idolizing a bronze age set of myths. I sincerely hope that you understand and accept your mistake and return to faith in God and Christ -- while dropping your unfortunate and idolatrous worship of the Bible.
Kind regards,
Reynolds Jones

Oh Hun, I see that you really mean well. But you can't force your ideas and beliefs on everybody. Not everyone is Christian...some are Jewish, Wiccian, Muslim...ect. Not all gay people are unhappy or going through a bad time...you need to realize this. If you truly believe in the love of God and that in the end good will triumph over evil, then what are you so worried about. If you truly believe that Jesus blood was spilled for ALL sins...then whats the problem? We can all agree to disagree and still be good people.
Your truth will not be everyone's truth. And that's the beauty of it! Try to remember...Love is patient, Love is kind...I'm sure you know the rest.

How do I put this nicely.... you don't love ME because you don't know me.
You love the idea of me being what you want me to be. And that has nothing to do with ME, and everything to do with YOU.
What you're talking about has nothing to do with me or Jesus or statistics, what you're talking about here is YOU. What interpretation of the Bible makes YOU feel better, what identity of mine would make YOU happy.
But I'm not really interested in being your standee. And I doubt that Jesus is either. Perhaps you should spend less time trying to make people and gods into what YOU want them to be, and more time learning who they really are.

It isn't concidered love because that is not how you are using it, you are quoting absolute lies in the form of anonymous statistics giving absolutely no point of reference/proof, and you completely ignore the book of Matthew.
5 Jesus sent out these twelve 4 after instructing them thus, "Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town."
14 Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words--go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet.
Your utter lies and absolute idiocy are unwelcome here.

Because it emphasizes the "tough" way more than the "love", almost always.
You're "only" asking us to reject the people we love most (some of whom we've been with for ages), communities, friends, and possibly stepchildren, pets, and property, all to behave in a way that pleases *you*. Oh, I know you say you're doing it for God, but it's amazing how, when people invoke God, God always seems to agree with *them*. Sacrifices are pretty damn easy, aren't they, when you're not the one having to make them?

Tough love??? Who do you think you are? Someone superior... You are no better that me nor anyone on this form... You looking down on us???
Tough Love--- Doesn't mean your opinion is right... The very struggle you are having is your very own tough love.... You are not god and your opinion is not the only one.... I'm so glad your friend will soon no longer be around someone like you... Maybe they can learn there is more to life than what lies between your four walls..... It look as though you will be the only one who will loose....

sh: That is so nice, thank you. But mankinds salvation is not the primary thing to consider. What hurts me inside is the lies they tell about God. He does not keep people alive just to torture them.
He is not a racist, he created variety because that is best.
He does not cause war, people do. He does not hate, people do.
He does not want violence and killing people do.
They want to be worshiped and to see someone give there life for his cause makes him feel powerful. When thousands kill for him then this hightens his feelings of superiority. Doesn't that sound like Satan. Burning people in a fire that is something satan has them do in false religion. That is not God
Because God is love.

God made me exactly as I am, Jesus loves me, this I know, not because Bible told me, but because he is all encompassing. As for what the Bible itself says, not one word of it was ever, I repeat ever, written by God. Men wrote it, pure and simple. It is 'christians' who have cause pain and suffering not us, we simply want to live our lives with God in the way we BELIEVE he meant us to. Did you see that, BELIEVE, just like you believe. You want to say you love me, fine, but do not for one moment presume to play God or assume that the men who wrote the Bible were ever in a position to judge me. Far too often, your kind, yes I use that term because I do not believe "christians" today are anywhere near Christ like in either their words or deeds. You may be the exception, but sadly, for 2000 years, 'christians' have brutalized, raped and murdered gay men and women in the name of their God. Nothing can excuse it and until they hang their heads in shame and beg our forgiveness, they will never understand that we are as the Lord made us, and it is they who have strayed from God. This is as it was, as it is, and as it will be.

hear, having an person-friendly IQ would not propose you cant attain college. genuinely, having an person-friendly IQ ability you could prevail. the college structures interior the united stateshave been geared up for human beings of person-friendly intelligence (i'm extreme) as a result people who've an person-friendly IQ can do greater useful at college than those of lesser IQ's or perhaps those with greater ones. those with extreme IQ's have a tendency to have getting to understand issues because of the fact their brains function in a various way and methods infromation in a various way than those of person-friendly IQ. as far as your metallic well being is going... a psychiatrist isn't a therapist, their job is to prescribe meds, countless MEDS. in case you elect for help/somebody to talk to you ought to discover a therapist (i.e LCSW, MFA< my very own sought after, or a psychologist) they have been knowledgeable in specific factors of psychology that are meant to help human beings such as you. while a psychiatrist is a medical well being practitioner and would not have the extensive historic past or awareness or education that therapists do. the main suitable thank you to flee out of your poor kin is to circulate to college!!! you could circulate someplace far away and initiate a clean existence. you will meet those with comparable hobbies and desires and you will create a clean kin for your self. do no longer enable the verbal or actual abuse of your loved ones take over your existence. once you circulate to college... which you will!, you will discover people who love, and settle for you for who you're. And that finished "human beings possibility me in a various way because of the fact my parent's are distant places," element is probable in view which you reside in a close-by which does no longer have countless ethic type. So %. a college in a various state. do no longer kill your self, it no longer properly worth it. you have lots to stay for. Being a teenager sucks yet as quickly as you get out of H.S existence would be greater useful. do no longer supply up!!!!!

Your sincerity in the statement you make leads me to believe that you believe what you are saying. I will not argue with you on the validity of your feelings for why you are attacking the gay community I will endeavor to be as kind to you as this expression of the love of Christ is from you.
I will say to you here and now that none of us has the understanding of God in us and therefore none of us is able to stand in his place and pass judgment on another soul for how he or she lives their life. God has that ability and reserves that right at the judgment seat of Christ we will all be judged. Not by you or by a council of Christians, but by God. You coming here and telling us your interpretations of the bible is a form of judgment. Because the interpretations have been widely disputed and shown to be false many times over by countless theologians. You judge as sinful by our actions but you are using the terms of the nature of those actions to judge our very natures as wrong. It is not wrong for a woman to love a woman and how she expresses that love is her own business. It is not wrong for a man to love a man and there is only one act in the bible that is mentioned as being between men as being wrong. So if two men do not do anal penetration yet express their love in what ever other manor they choose then that is not wrong either. If a person decides to ignore this stricture right along with the other strictures from the same book about eating pork, shrimp, lobster, crabs and many other shell fish, then who are you to condemn them. Have you honestly never had shrimp, or pork. You never wear a cotton polyester blend. These are all mentioned as being an abomination right along with anal sex. I personally think anal sex is nasty and refuse to even think about it. I am g0y and therefore I use my belief system to support my attraction to men. My bible tells me it is ok because I have the enlightenment that God provided me to see it. You unfortunately are not enlightened and I hope that you will be covered by Gods grace for your judgments of us.
