I need to find the best possible laser color printer at the lowest possible price. I need to prints lots of documents black and white, flyers with a few photos on them, color posters and etc. So I would like to have both of best worlds and have some great photo quality and print the most pages per toner cartridges. I recently made a mistake and bought a HP photosmart 8250 and have gone through about almost $300 in ink, if not more (in only about 2 months). But when I think I found a good color laser printer I find horror stories from user reviews.

Can anyone help me basically find a good all around color laser printer that has full ink toner and not so expensive (like over $100 per toner)? As I don't need network capability and if it has a duplexer is a bonus.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Inkjet printers are better for photos. Laser printers will save you money in the long run on cartridges, and they print text a lot better in black and white. Inkjet is usually not the best for Black and White. So, if you are going to print a lot of color brochures with a lot of text, you probably want a Color laser printer in the 200 to 300 dollar range. If you go cheaper, you run the risk of getting a piece of crap.

you're most suitable about smooth paper. i'd choose a heavy weight paper and get the brightest i could. you could favor to ask an associate at Staples or workplace Max for a advice. there is not any distinction between paper for colour and b/w laser.
