first; if you value the theoratical meaning then it means a person obtaining valued items like money, jewellery, material goods, signatures or even verbal consents through deciet and misrepresentation
second; if you value the comical meaning of the word scam then it is initials for Someone Cant Answer Messages like yourself hence why you posted this question

if you mean scam basicly its where people try to offer you things that are too good to be true say you have won the lottery when you havent even played it before.
and spam is similar where it has mail sent to you whats unwanted and often well rubbish. it sometimes includes things like send me money to help my gamily etc ....
