Would you rather have Soriano or Cano at 2nd base?
Why?

Soriano first of all has an attitude problem. Secondly, Cano has evolved in a short time to being a phenominal athlete and a great guy to have in the lineup. He excites the fans and his own teammates. The Yankees should stick with Cano and find that one day, he will have better stats than Cano, and wont have to switch to the Outfield. Not to mention, when Soriano was at the stage Cano is at now, he couldn't hit a solid outside breaking pitch. Meanwhile, make a pitch like that to Cano, and you got yourself a runner on second because he slapped one down the left field line. Cano is the future of the Yankee Franchise.

It's close. Soriano can do it all except play defense, but he's a hell of a hitter. So is Cano, he could hit .300 every year, and has potential to hit 25 or so homeruns every year. The only problem witrh Soriano is the strikeouts, which he hasn't really cut down on since leaving the Yanks. I would take Soriano b/c of the overall package, but I'm real happy with Cano.

Cano...all day everyday. I would love to have Soriano, don't get me wrong. But Cano is a better 2nd baseman than Sori is...and he hits for higher average. As time goes on, he will hit for average & 20+ HR's. He is more suited for 2nd base...Soriano's makeup suggests OF. He is lean, runs very well...a perfect make up for a CF. (Plus, Soriano came up as a SS...not a 2nd baseman...Cano has been 2nd his entire playing career.)

I was with the Yankees when they signed Soriano...their intention (well before he went to Washington) was to make him a CF when Cano was ready for the bigs. That was 4 years ago.

Cano. He is a franchise player who has a much better attitude then Soriano. He will never hit as many homeruns as Soriano but that is the only area Soriano will lead him in. Other then that Cano all the way!

Cano. Much younger, better hitter by far, better fielder by far. And as far as economics are concerned, doesn't command the salary Soriano commands at the moment. Maybe most important Cano is a team player, Soriano is only concerned about Soriano.

it depends since the yankees want power now i say soriano cuz he is easily a 40/40 guy. But if the yankees wish to look down the road than Cano because he is younger.

Cano...would me my choice.....Soriano is too much of a free swinger and really hurt the Yankees several years back during the World Series....he was swinging no matter what or where the ball was.....he is very talented and would still take him back to the Yankees but where would you put him.....he was a Yankee originally and remember how they went after him seeing the potential while in Japan......Cano is also home grown and turning into a very good batter and fielder.....too much potential to give up for another big bat....got enought of those with Giambi....Sheffield...Matsui....Jeter....Williams and yes....least and not last Mr ARod(K-Rod lately)........Cano the easy choice!!

I would rather have Cano because he's younger and still developing. While you can't deny that Soriano is a tremendous talent, I would rather go with Cano because of how fast he is developing.

For everyone who says the Yankees suck, they have 26 championships, HOW MANY DOES YOUR TEAM HAVE?

Cano- he plays solid defense and hits for average while still generating a little pop while Soriano is a terrible fielding second basemen who also has attitude issues

I'd rather have Cano there.

Soriano strikes out entirely too much, and doesn't hit for average. He also doesn't seem to hit with runners on base. We don't need more solo home runs. We need a high-average guy who can knock in the runners that we get on base. And Robby Cano can do that. He's actually a very polished hitter for someone so young.
