my color is set at 640/480 and i cant' get it changed it wont' let me
how do i install something to change it

Install your Monitor Drivers or your video card drivers (if you have one) then you will be able to ajust the settings to continue with your installation.

ok ur pc display is so small that is first thing it depends on ur pc monitor is it 15 or 14 or 17 or more and ur monitor display options,u can try changing the pc display from clicking on ur desktop with right mouse and properties,the screen wil come up with that options u go to setting and click with mouse to make it to the right option which is most:
800&600 pixel
color quality highest is best.
if it didn't let ya change it u'll have to click on the:
troubleshhott,or advanced and from there u make it come to :
normal size u'll find it written unter the box in the first aprt and then apply and ity'll make ur screen work out in better way.
i was surprised by ur words that ur dsl tells u that ur setting is not right cos it never affect with the pc screen or anything may be u ned to check ur pc if there is some erors in the (registery) there is alot of programs to help u to fix the registery like

You right click on the desktop, go to display properties and change your screen size to 1024x768 and color to true color 64 bit. If your display properties won't let you go that high then you probably need to install a driver for your video card. You would need to go into your device manager and see which brand and model your video card is, then go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest driver. Make sure to get the one for your operating system.

There should be a driver disk that came with your PC - look for the words "graphics adapter" or "display adapter" and run the install program

right click on your desktop and get in and change your display settings and if that fails call tech support.

call your local phone company and ask for tech support or call the company u got the computer from, i.e. gateway or dell
