I hate all the added expenses to x-mas, like decorations and all that crap. I think that is what realy causes the dent. If we could just get gifts and share them over a decent mean and not some huge feast where everyone argues orver who gets to take what home, then I think it would be truely better.
Last year I joined my fiancee and her family for three seperate celebrations, and untill now I had forgot anout it, but now I will be dreading the stress it causes everyone involved.

Well part of the problem here is there is NO X-mas. But there IS a CHRISTMAS. Now, if you are speaking of Christmas then I will say that I kind of agree with what your saying. Even as I write this there are things in the stores already for sale dealing with Christmas. So this does mean it is a money thing. And it shouldn't be as it is the Lords birthday. So the way I handle it, is KIDS only get a gift. If your an adult you don't get NUTTIN except the Christmas cards we send out. We save a lot of money and it doesn't hurt as much.

I've always loved Christmas, and it's not about the presents. It's the overall feeling in the air, the smells, the songs. I do have to admit I love getting presents though, but even more than that I love giving presents. I love wrapping presents for my little girl and thinking of how much she is going to love it. The only thing I don't like about Christmas is that we are a military family and so we are far away from the rest of our family, that's hard. And then sometimes the day after there is a certain sadness, it's like all the build up to something and then all of a sudden it's over. But in general I'd say Christmas is great. Try to concentrate on the real reason we celebrate it. And try not to spend so much money so you aren't left feeling resentful.

I guess some people just don't like it much. I love X-mas, but hate the expense that comes with it. My husband an I stress so much that time of year figuring out how we are going to buy all 4 of our kids all of their gifts, plus everyone on both sides of our families!! It's crazy!

Between the family gatherings (always a disagreement), the extra spending, cleaning to house to company standards, decorating and undercoating the tree (and no help), time spent buying gifts (not to mention the money), worse yet wrapping all those presents. I'm tired already.

This individual is a selfish bastard who shouls deliver you that back after which you will possibly desire to flow back to the keep you acquire it from (in case you have a receipt and nonetheless have time) and save the money for your self and purchase your self something nice. Screw him. Now you recognize what style of individual he's. another human beings might locate that considerate; others-who won't like the stuff-might have the two gave it to somebody they recognize might like it or they might have deliver it back and basically ask for something that they cherished or positioned on it. What an ungrateful, inconsiderate, little maggot! and then, lose his quantity and e mail handle.

no, nothing wrong with that at all. I got disillusioned as well with the overcommercialization of the holiday. Overemphasis on the spending, the lavishness of the presents, and losing sight of what its really about: reconnecting with your loved ones, taking time out of your busy life to be together. THATS the best part of Christmas.

Well do you hate the commercialism of it, or the idea of celebrating the birth of a spiritual leader, if it is just the commercialism of it I do not blame you,
do you have personal beleifs you wish others would beleive in the way you do?
