I have a pc with windows ME on it and i want to know if i can put XP on it,it has a pentium 3

yes, my buddy just did it. it will overwrite ME and save all your files. works awesome.

windows XP need 400 MHz and pentium 3 at least 500 MHz

even a pentium 2 can handle win xp as long as it has a 64MB minimum of RAM...

it can be done if you want to keep both the windows than install xp on another drive and it will run on a P3

you can make two partitions and have both OS in your computer for partitioning you need to know about fdisk or use a program called partitionmagic.goodluck
