San Antonio, TX. Get a hotel room on the Riverwalk. It's abolutely gorgeous there. Many things to see and do, most located right on, or near, the Riverwalk, so you can just walk to them. Lots of history there, if you're interested in that. Lots of clubs if you like going out and dancing. They have a beautiful zoo. Seaworld and Fiesta Texas if you like amusement parks. If you like to shop, half an hour north in New Braunfels there are several outlet malls. San Antonio itself has some excellent malls, as well. Speaking of New Braunfels, it has Schlitterbahn, which the Travel Channel named as the best waterpark in the world.

Gosh! I sound like a travel brochure. LOL My sisters live there and I visit once or twice a year and never run out of things to do.

Personally I wouldn't recommend Egypt if you want to relax. Its a nice place but there is a lot of hassle from the locals.

Cuba is a brill place to go. Lush beaches, nice food and the people are very friendly and its very cheap to go there at the moment.

The Maldives. Don't go for the expensive resorts (The Hilton Island) go for a cheaper one as they are usually smaller and quieter. We stayed on Giravaru Island which is 20 minutes from Male (the capital) by speedboat. The hotel was only 64 rooms, all o which were beach bungalows. It was pure paradise!

Hotel Guadalpin Banus, Puerto Banus, near Marbella. For not much money, prepare to lie on sunloungers next to supermodels, dine on the beach whenever you feel the urge, where all the food is cooked to your liking in front of you.
Walk down to the harbour and check out multi-million pound yachts of the rich and famous whilst sipping cocktails in fish restaurants as Ferraris and Aston Martins cruise on the quayside behind you. WOW!!!! Wish I was there!!!!

One of the nicest, and the biggest secret, hotels in Europe!

If you have the cash to do it, go to Taormina, Sicily. Lovely hotels right on private beaches; each hotel has their own beach attendant who will wait on you hand and foot. We stayed at the Lido Mediterranea -- their restaurant was first class, the staff was very friendly and the surrounding town is a great place to walk and sightsee.

If your are looking for somewhere in the UK you could try the link below. I have stayed there and it is relaxing, about 5 Min's from Amroth beach, near Tenby and Pembroke. Good walks, air and scenery.

If you love heat and great night life...Ibizia

If you want to just lay on the beach all day...St. Thomas

If you want culture...London

A cruise is always a good choice. There is a spa and casino, great food and fun shore adventures. Alaska cruises or somewhere warm and tropical is the best...but if you don't want to, you never have to leave the ship!
