I'm going on a vacation with someone who I've grown apart from recently and I pretty much have decided that after the trip the relationship is over. Planning the trip has been stressful b/c they've been selfish and unconcerned during disagreements. Their response to my concerns have been, "You're wrong. You can do what you want." People's full personalities come out during situations that are outside normal comfort zones.

You shouldn't go on the vacation. Why would you want to go on vacation with someone you are going to break up with?

Oh, wait. lemme guess.

He's paying for it?

I think you should NOT go on the trip with this person. I mean really, your whole life when you think back & remember this vacation you will have bad memories of the planning & enduring it & the fact that you knew the whole time that you were gonna end the relationship. Doesn't sound worth it to me. Cancel it & if for whatever reason you can't do as "nice" of a vacation without that person pitching in or whatever then do something else, go somewhere by yourself maybe, at least you will enjoy it.

Actually - I did!! lol. What a great question..

Years ago I was dating a guy I went on a little vacation with to Tennessee. There was a tornado while we were there. Yep a tornado. We were entering a theme park and it was flying across the parking lot...was terrible! I held onto a chain-link fence I was standing next to and hunkered down as I watched his cowardly behind take off and leave me there....long story after that one - the short one is...that ended THAT relationship (and that vacation). What a jerk huh?

I think everyone should plan a vacation together before they get married, because it would be a good test for the relationship. I mean, a real vacation, out of the state or even the country, for at least a week.
