This is the truth according to astrologers

Pluto takes about 400 or so years to complete a cycle around earth,
Only the planets which could rotate around the sun in a mans life time are taken for astrological calculations

so it never was importent in astrology

It's too horrible to contemplate. The Lord of the Underworld will not be trifled with!

Since astronomy is a science, what difference does it make? It has nothing to do with astrology. Astronomers don't make the rules that apply to horoscopes, so damn the IAU. Who cares what those senile old farts think? They don't rule the universe, the planets and stars do!

But at least astronomical predictions come true with amazing accuracy up to centuries into the past and future. You can bank on it. Astrology can't compare in terms of accurate predictions.

Compare the accuracy of 10 astrological predictions with the accuracy of 10 astronomical predictions and see.

10 different astrologers given the same data can't agree on the time of day.

10 astronomers given the same data will agree almost to the second.

Astronomers precisely predicted a year in advance that a comet would hit the planet Jupiter in 1994 and lo and behold, it did. Let's see astrologers beat that!

Astronomers can even predict where to look for a new planet - and actually find it where expected. That's how Neptune was discovered.

I'd like to see astrologers predict where to look for a new planet based on its influence on people - and actually find it where expected.

Or think about it this way:

What did they do before Pluto was discovered ?

Good question ! A good number of people make a living by printing up horoscopes. If you believe in them, well - that is up to you. I did see that last week a famous astrologer said that "They can compensate for Pluto not being a planet anymore." I am quite sure that they will still make money printing up horoscopes nine planets or (now) eight-!

Did you know that Astrology was originally based on the fact that they thought the earth was the center of the universe? If the realization that that wasn't true didn't affect it I don't think such a small thing as Pluto not being a planet will either.

I would assume that nothing would happen.

Even though Pluto might not be called a "planet," nothing changes about its existence, location, orbit around the sun, etc.

Horoscopes will not be changed in the least. They will remain the same nonsense they've always been.
