Two weeks ago I planted a Dwarf Crepe Myrtle on the east side of the house. It probably gets about 4 hours of sun in the morning. Well, lately, it's been raining a lot and is always cloudy and about 50% of the leaves are turning yellow and look droopy. It is due to too much water? Or does it sound like it's not getting enough sun? I also planted 2 Barberry bushes in the same area and they look a little stressed as well. Any help is appreciated.

Too much water. Crepe myrtles are very tough, and are surviving well in our drought and 35 days of 100 degree + heat with little moisture. I have several dozen plants, a couple are now in shaded areas a lot but don't have any yellowing. Since the other two plants are showing the same symptoms, you may have poor drainage or heavy soil there.

Less water. Not enough sun just results in lower blooms. Yellow is too much water.

You could have a bug in them. It may have been there when you bought it. I would spray them with something to kill the bug. Go to Lowe's or home depot they will have something there.
