are u able to install an ipod video without the insallation cd?

and someone already owned it before, i'm just trying to install it onto a different comp.

No, it usually gets an error and even worst the next time you try to connect the ipod to the original computer with the original installation it gives the same mistake. I had to install the installation CD in every computer I came across. You only can not do the installation if you are only using the ipod on that computer as an external memory.

i dont have an ipod video, but there should be some faq's on the apple site, or just check google.
