It depends on when the Sun sign changed that year and the time is different each year. The date could even be different. Check an ephemeris for the date and time the sign changes.
Soapfan, that is not necessarily true. If a person is a 29 degree Gemini, then she/he would begin to take on Cancer characterics the next year due to progressions. However, if the the person is a 0 degree Cancer she/he would not take on Gemini characterics unless other planets or the Ascendent are in Gemini.
