if i did have testicular cancer, what would it look like from the outside? would it be an actual bump or lump or would i have to feel for it?

You can also ask your doctor to *show* you how to do it, as he or she has way more experience than you do.

I'd read thousands of words and seen hundreds of pictures about self breast exams, but it wasn't until my doc showed me that I felt confident about what I was seeing and feeling. And I still didn't catch my rather advanced breast cancer, the doc did.

testicular cancer can be diagnosed through extensive laboratory work-up and other diagnostic procedures... you cannot say that you have testicular cancer because of the lumps or bumps... these are not indicative of the disease, there may be other problems other than testicular cancer.

There are different kinds of textucular cancer. Look it up on a site.

It could be orchitis.
