We are taking a trip to Orlando and when we head back north we would like to stop at or near an island, somewhere peaceful where we can spend family time. We want something on the northern side of florida, either gulf side or atlantic. We would also like to research about islands off of South Carolina or any other surrounding states.

I just stayed on Edisto Island, SC in December, very small, friendly and not commercialized at all, driving distance to Hilton Head or Charlestown for fun, the island is so relaxing, quiet, and laid back, fresh shrimp daily and grouper from the boat, lots of rentals with rocking chairs, etc, can also rent from Wyndam/RCI with a variety of accomodations, have fun where ever you go!
