They are going back to school in one week, and they'll be so busy with all the after school activities,I am dreading it, and plus I am getting a job, and I will be alittle busier too.......but I always have time for them, I am going to miss them. Is there anyone out there feeling the same?
We're leaving right now to go to the library, and park. Thanks.

Ask the children what they want to do. Don't assume anything when it comes to another person, including children.

I've always hated the phrase "quality time with the kids."

Trust me. The kids appreciate the time they spend with you whether you are sitting down and playing with LEGO or if you are taking them to the greatest theme park in the world.

Also, going back to work shouldn't be a big concern. You certainly sound as if your priorities are straight - that is, the kids come first. Kids can sense that sort of thing and appreciate it - even if they won't always express it.

Go for ice-cream. Enjoy the weather. Take in a show. Pop into a museum. Anything that both you and your children enjoy.

Good Luck !!!

Ooooohhhh....I know that feeling. I am in college and working full time & my little boy is about to go back to school. Basically we do everything together around the house, even if we don't have time to go do something major. He helps me cook dinner, clean up...he's only 6 but I make it a game so it's actually quality time together. We have board games and stuff. And then at least once a week we go somewhere different...the beach, sledding, etc.

Stay off the pc as that is usually a single thing, you could talk with no tv on or go for walks and talk about what you-they see, or go window shopping so you know whats cool and whats not

Take a blanket outside and lay on it, look up at the clouds and see what kinds of things you can see in them. You can do that at home and it's very peaceful and we have alot of fun doing it.
