I have those piercings done. As far as the nipple rings....yes you can still breast feed after you take them out and you are completly healed. When you get pregnant you can keep them in but if you are going to breast feed you need to take them out by month 6 or 7 to give them enough time to close. The long term effects of a v-hood piercing is that you could potentuially loose feeling or decrease sensitivity once the peircing is taken out...but leaving it in there are no long - term effects unless you get an infection. Oh yeah and you can leave that one in when you have children....but its best toask your doctor about leaving that in when you have a baby. (depending on what happens during birth there is a risk that it could possibly be tore or ripped out...and if you are high risk they may ask you to take it out in case you need an emergency c-section.) Hope that helps.

You can breast feed with intant nipple piercings. You just have to take the jewlery out to feed the baby, then put it back in. Which I imagine would be a total pain. Most people just take it out and leave it out. Obviously these piercings have to be healed, and have no drainage.

You can have a normal vaginal delivery with the hood piercing, with the jewlery in. The important thing with both of these piercings is to make sure your doctor knows you have them if you would have to have a c-section. I know it seems like your doctor should remember you have these piercings after caring for you for an entire 40 week pregnancy, but they really don't remember.
