A clever man never act foolish. Its the ignorant who think that he/she is foolish.

Clever/wise man say what they think with atmost clearity, which many people can't understand in their ignorance. These ignorant people call him fool.

But a mad man need not be clever. ;-)

I think in some cases the fool is on a totally different level to the norm and sees things within his humour that the average person cannot.
Perhaps the fool understands the workings of the mind of the average person and considers them boring, and no where even close in the intelligence Stakes.
We think they are fools.
They are laughing at our limited abilities and mocking us without our knowledge.
There speaketh one raving plant pot! Cheers!

Yes, it does.

Clever Question!

In Esperanto, "clever"is translated "Ruza", which sounds like "ruse", which means a ploy, an act.

Acting requires intelligence, not just good looks. Most people who think they might be actors, would have a hard time just understanding and memorizing the LINES of dialogue!

I'm immensely intelligent (in a way not commonly understood) and completely barking, but it's not an act. Does that help? Honest, I'm trying - in my own special way (that is not commonly understood).

A man who realises he is a fool is no fool, a man who doesn't realise he is a fool is indeed a fool.
