Obviously ND has some pretty high expectations (realistic or not) to live up to. Kirk Herbstreit has them going 12-0 so anything less than that will be regarded as falling short. Heck, even Lee Corso, who had them starting at 1-5 last year, says they'll pick up 9 wins. They'll be a good team, there's no doubt about that. 13-0 with a National Championship? Maybe, maybe not. We'll find out shortly. If they run the table and lose in Glendale, will that constitute failure? On a national level, it probably shouldn't, but then again, that's what folks down in South Bend (as well as Columbus, Austin, Gainesville, Ann Arbor, Tallahassee, Miami, Baton Rouge, Auburn, LA, Norman, etc.) expect ever year.

From what I hear Notre Dame has issues on defense, but they should be fun to watch this year. There going to get a real good challenge this weekend. Go USC.

Charlie Weiss is a great leader and he will get his boys to play. They have a real deal qb and system.

I am not a Notre Dame fan, they're ok, but I think they will be really good this year and no, they will not fall on their ****.

If they are to fall on their derriere, at least let them fall to Penn State on September 9th, 2006, when The Nittany LIons travel to South Bend.

I LOVE IT! ND is finally rated where they shouldbe and people still beleive they blow. Makes me so happy. I was worried being number 2 would get to their head but everyone still beleives theya re the underdogs and blow. SO now they still have a chip on their shoulder and a lot of **** to prove. ND-38 GT-10.

Not sure if they will or not, but it's not going to help them when they lose to Michigan this year. It might very well be a downhill season after that.
