I say it's a tie between Space Mountain, and Epcot, which were
both built around the same time(late 70's). DW lost its way big
time after that, and then just starting copying other parks ideas
(MGM studios-direct ripoff of universal; Animal Kingdom-direct ripoff of San Diego zoo). The more they build the more confusing and unruly it gets. Walt Disney himself had a whole different plan
in mind that would have been awesome if it was even approximately implemented. He intended EPCOT to be a cutting-
edge residential city of approx. 100,000, with an amusement park
(MK) in the middle, just like we have parks in subdivisions(or malls,
as in Mall of America). It was intended for visitors to see these
residents living and working in a super high-tech environment,
sort of like present-day SIngapore for a rough approximation.
Lots of people-mover-y things, all mass-transit, and cities visiting
and incorporating the same ideas on a much larger scale.
What got lost in the translation?

Yeah, let's see how many pointless, bitching questions you can ask in a day. You know, you keep talking about the same thing in EVERY stupid question. Shut up, no one cares.

Though, the guy above gave a great answer, so he gets a thumbs up.

When Walt died it was the death knell for children's entertainment. His daughter spoke up about it at the 50th anniversary and upon reflecting on recent things in cartoons (like the word 'sex' being spelled out in the puff of dirt that swirls up when Simba plops down on the hillside- the bishop with the woody in The Little Mermaid- etc.) she said she was ashamed of what Disney has become. She said if her father were still alive he would fire everyone and start again with new people.... and he would have! He loved kids and believed in their innocence. Today's Disney is nothing but commercial and as you pointed out- even their Magic Kingdom is nothing more than a theme park now. Walt's plan would have been much more fun and different.
Have a great day!!!

Having never met Mr. Walt Disney myself, I cannot claim to say that I know what his "vision" would have been. I do believe that the man would have been able to update his "vision" to please the masses. And judging by the number of people that visit the parks there daily, it looks to me like the masses have been pleased.

I know. Also at the Magic Kingdom I think they should have changed the name "Tomorrow Land" to "Yesterday Land". A lot of the "new" devices where old and outdated. Welcome to Tomorrow land where you can play on a new video game system called Nintendo 64? Hello?

Disney world jumped a shark. They even copied that from happy days when The Fonz jumped the sharks. Damn copycats.
