I have never personally known any, but my image of their country is that it is a very clean and civil place to live.

It is difficult to make an assessment of a multi-cultural society. I can tell you that the Chines are very ethnocentric and I have witnessed discrimination as well as segregation in that community. The Chinese control the economic infrastructure.
It is a neat place to visit---I wouldn't want to live there! The food is good and the different cultures have neat customs & artifacts. I can't make a generalization about the people--I suppose there are good souls & not so good ones there, like every where else!

Loved it when i lived there in the 80"s. Was there a few weeks ago, buying duty free , guess what? the singapore dollar is the same as th aussie dollar! lol
I dont care about that but I wish I bought my duty free elsewhere lol
I love them, they are no different to us, maybe cleaner, but just the same. My singapore friend embarresses me when she goes abroad at the gifts she brings me. I love the food, the lifestyle
Has the person asking this question ever lived there? They are very westernised yet seem to have kept hold of their eastern ethics in a good way.

Everyone I have ever met from Singapore and those that we have encountered in travel are wonderful people. They seem to be very detail conscious which is so great and have a tremendous sense of personal and community pride. I also think from a truly superficial standpoint that in general they are a very beautiful people.

i was in singapore last year visiting a friend of mine
i liked the place, very clean
all the people were very nice and friendly
and the women are really stunning
going back again this october

Singapore is a Wonderful place and the people are really awesome. they really care and superb people and Kind.. and the location is wonderful a good nature places.. u can have a Trip and taste it.. God Bless U

ok, my country was near it. the country was full with old folks, it was a clean country, if you work there, your salary is consider high, people there everytime work, eat, sleep. they dont care about their neighbour or anyone else.
