If you are religious then it is obviously the chicken, as God created the animals. He did not create the eggs. Biologically, dinosaurs laid eggs before chickens even evolved so I assume it is the egg. I'm sure somebody has asked this question before.

Chicken. If egg came first, and there were no hens around, then the eggs would have become spoilt; since hens are needed to brood over them for 21 days.

I reckon, since God created Adam & Eve and all the living creatures, he created the Chicken & the Rooster...... Then came the egg and so on and so on.......
Or if you believe in evolution, then maybe it was a Terydaktle's Egg and it was deformed, and maybe that's how the chicken came to walk our lil planet?
