The story of the mammoths is one of the most tragic in all of ancient history. They lived in a time of plenty. Food was abundant and the herds were strong. Life was good. Then, about 11,000 years ago, something happened and every last one of them disappeared.

there is an ongoing attempt to clone a thylacine, notwithstanding it has stalled because of funding concerns. the problem in both situations, more beneficial so with mammoths, is asking intact DNA. it must be truly strong, notwithstanding it degrades rapidly no matter if the organism is frozen. looking the completed genome is the first problem. Then it must be sequenced, recreated, inserted into an egg of a suitable animal, and then ultimately implanted. that's a really, very intense priced and time ingesting procedure. in view that there isn't any economic incentive to do it, there isn't any earnings it. the in simple terms reason is clinical interest, which does not pay the costs.

Mammoths died out around the end of the last Ice Age, about 10,000 years ago.
Why they became extinct is not fully known, but hunting by humans is believed to have been a major factor. Other causes may have been the shift to a warmer climate and disease.

Animals that big need a lot of food and since they lived pretty far up north they just couldn't feed themselves when humans became better hunters and pushed them into very remote areas where there was little food to be found.
