NO, because it is not becoming a village.... global or otherwise..... a village is a group of people that live in one locale and afford one another protection and aid when needed.
Global economy does neither.... it just drags the countries with a high standard of living, down towards third world status.... it has cheapened products to an almost useless state.
Eventually, quality will have to return.... just as manufacturing is starting(in some areas) to make a comeback in the USA. Woe unto the rest of the shoddy manufacturers in the world once it fully returns.... the cycle repeats.....

No. I believe very strongly in nationalism and do not like the idea of a global governing or globalization. I mourn the loss of cultures that are being americanized just as I mourn the loss of american culture in the name of cultural sensativity.
I like different cultures. I'd like to see them survive. But too many cultures are sacrificing for the sake of internationalization.
