No, because the way things are going it would probably be under the Khalifa and we would all have to wear funny headgear and the women would be in purdah. Or burkas.

There are certainly people, organizations, movements and forces of all kinds hard at work trying to create such a world government. You are right about that, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. These groups are too disparate in their aims and often too desperate in their means. They remind me of Pinky and the Brain with their weekly attempts to rule the world.
Still it would be great if America would throw a big ol' hairy monkey wrench in the open border-world government movement by withdrawing from the UN and shutting down their New York offices.

Depends on what type of government it is, but probably not. And almost certainly not until after Jesus comes back (as per my beliefs, I do understand not everyone will think like that though). But the way humans have shown how they handle any type of government, I would think a world government could only end in a large-scale holocaust and eventual revolution that will end only in complete splintering of humans and so much destruction that humans might not even exist anymore (and certainly not as the dominant species of the planet).

When we do have one world government (global), you better start looking around to see if you missed the boat to heaven, my friend. Until then, no..... no one world government. Too many differing beliefs and priorities. Also, religion would be either governed or anything goes. Besides, can you imagine anyone - or any group - that the world would agree on as leader? Ha, that would NEVER happen. Frightening thought, in my opinion.

I dont know what the difference would be but from the way people talk about it at school they act like it is going to be the end of the world if it becomes a one world gov't! So... I dont think I like it too much either!

It would be the ultimate culmination of socialism, and then when that fails economically the government would take control of the means of production and we would have a one world communism. But you forget one thing, the Islamic fascists are going to bet us to it if the Democrats get control of the US congress.

No, unless of course the whole world wanted the type of government we have here in the US. I suspect many others (Radical Muslims) would disagree vehemently. So the idea is a bust from the start.

I agree with you that this is truly scary. No one should like it but it seems that so many people will acede to it because taking responsibility for your own future and actions seems to be the path least travelled. The path of least resistance is preferred for most. So the rest of us will be forced to accept what the most of us willingly accept. Individuality will be the crime and its roots are already right here right now. Conform or be cast out. Columbine.

No, different regions have different customs, we cannot fit under one government. Just look at the trouble the EU is having trying to get the euro accepted at all countries.

No, I want NO government. Anarchy now!
Actually, TRUE communism NOW!!! TRUE communism, not the type in China. That's only a name. Communism is where EVERYONE is equal, including the leaders. (Not everyone is legal. The way our country works, cops, presidents, etc. are aabove the law.)
I just gotsta get this off my chest: Jimmy Carter's presidency didn't work ONLY because the government is a corrupt system and Carter was not corrupt enough for it to work. I like that guy. He's my favortie prez.
