area is looking worse, its black and purple..and ive used a needle 3 times to poke it and squeeze.all i see is blood coming out..i cant get to the hair i guess...i dont want this to leave a scar..help!!!!!!!!!!

i cant see the hair, and i have had one that i left alone before and covered with a band aid and it left a horrible blackish area scar!

STOP F*@KNING WITH IT!!! LEAVE IT ALONE FOR LIKE A WEEK TO LET THE IRRITATION YOU BROUGHT ON TO GO AWAY!! THEN WHEN YOU CAN SEE THE HAIR GET IT WITH TWEEZERS BUT IF IT WONT COME OUT SEE A DR.

Tools: Friend, Lancet, tweezers; alcohol.
You need an assistant.
Don't poke and squeeze. The yucky stuff sounds like the hair has had some time to grow under the skin. Use the lancet to lift the (length of the) hair up out of the skin. Wait a day or two then tweeze the spot. If you can't "wait" go a head and remove it, just be prepared for the the likely hood of scarring. .

I've found that the best way is to leave it alone, and let nature take its course. It may look disgusting and be uncomfortable, but the ingrown hair will either dissolve itself or form a pimple that you can then attack. A dermatologist can treat this immediately. If you keep picking and squeezing it you risk having a scar. The best way to prevent them is to only shave in one direction. I used to shave in both directions on my neck to ensure a close shave. You have to force yourself to only shave one direction, even if you don't get a close shave. After time, you will get a close shave by only shaving in one direction. And the ingrown hairs will be gone.

My husband gets those all the time. Most of the time an ingrown hair will keep coming back, you need to pluck it out with tweezers.

Depending on where it is, put some antibiotic stuff such as Neosporin on it & then cover it with a band-aid & LEAVE IT BE for a little while. The more you mess with it, the worse you're going to make it & possibly cause a nasty infection if you haven't already. Another thing to try, although messy, is this stuff called Prid Salve. It's brownish goo but it helps draw out infections & such....works great. Make sure to cover w/ a band-aid either way.

leave it alone, maybe go to a doctor.....next time you get one let it grow a bit till teh hair pokes out then pull with tweezers. Sometimes if u'r careful you can lift it out witha needle but if it bleeds you need to leave it alone. Bleeding means you are gone into to connective tissue layer of your skin in this area the hair is barley out of the follicle

You might try putting a piece of raw potato on it for 24 hours it might pull the hair to the surface if that doesn't work try a piece of Alvera for the same period of time. If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you.
