What about the imposed" food for oil" program that the whole world agrees directly caused the deaths of over 1 million Iraqi,s many too young to even know they were Iraqi?
What about all the profiteering that the American companies, that made Billions of dollars during that time?
How can anyone honestly support what we have done to the entire Mideast?

First let me say I am a Canadian but I was absolutely appalled at the bombings and senseless deaths done in the name of Allah by Osama and his followers.

In answer to your question - Here is the reason - they are TERRORISTS!! They kill INNOCENT people (men, women AND children) all in the name of Allah.

Are you saying is it is okay for them to bomb the World Trade Centres, The Pentagon and hi-jack airplanes to knowingly kill THOUSANDS but we are not allowed to avenge all those innocent deaths???!!!! Other then not following the Islam religion, what did all those people do that was so bad they had to die?!! Let me know how you feel when it's one of your own family members or friends who is killed in the next TERRORIST attack.

We (USA and Canada) ARE NOT terrorists. Defending our countries from maniacal people like Osama, Sadam and all their followers is acceptable and expected!!

Maybe you should re-think your question and ask why Osama has declared war on the US because of his religion??? The man is a coward. When do you think you will see him on the front lines risking his life? NEVER!! He brainwashes others to do his dirty work for him. How cowardly can a man get?!! He also doesn't care who he kills as you can be sure that there were Muslims in the World Trade Centres, the Pentagon and on the airplanes that were hi-jacked.

The man kills indiscriminately and we are supposed to just sit back and allow it? I would be terrified if he won this war since anyone who doesn't follow his religion will probably be exterminated. Think about it. That would include you too if you aren't Muslim. Do you think he would really care that you stuck up for him and his religion? Think again. This man is evil to the core and must be stopped. Unfortunately, even if we do manage to arrest and/or kill him, there are others more then willing to take his place.

It is called ignorance, and it is NOT just Americans. It may surprise you to konw that there are Christians and Jews and many others in America that wold love to have peace, and not condemn Islam or any other relgious group or ethnic group for what is happening today around the world. It is also what happens when a few endeavor to represent a religion or a group of people... they give the religion or group of people a bad name.

Muslims are not better or worse than any other religion but the sad truth is that some over-zealous (fanatics) groups are acting as very bad public relations officers for the religion. This has happened in every major religion during the course of history.

It's a sad shame. Hey, don't blame the majority for what a minute minority is doing! Rather than criticize and make pointed and/or loaded questions, WHAT are YOU doing to help bring peace?

No it doesn't. I mean.. I agree that there's hyppocrasy there... but it doesn't show American culture as being 10 times more barbaric. The level of killings has little to do with barbarism. It's more a combination of the current administration + number of troops in those countries + level of stress + the fact that it's hard to tell who's an enemy and who's a friend.

I agree that we Americans should look at this situation more and stuff...and that we are doing some bad things. But it's not specifically barbarism.

Hmm. I guess then, according to your logic, in order to achieve the moral high ground and be able to claim (without hypocrisy) that Islam is a killer religion, we should do nothing when they attack us? Great. When they fly planes into buildings or send their own, strapped with bombs, to kill as many civilians as possible, though you would have us do nothing to stop them, we shall be able to say "Islam is a killer religion" until they destroy everything and kill or convert every non-Muslim? Has it ever occurred to you that, if 9/11 hadn't happened, we wouldn't be over there?

Siting kill ratios isn't 'boasting'. It's pointing out that we are winning a war they started.

Clearly the Islamist Hezbollah terrorists tried to kill Israelis, the Islamist Sunnis are currently in an informal civil war to kill theiri own Islamist Shiite brothers, and Saddam, a Sunni (granted he was essentially a secular leader) tortured and mass-murdered the Kurds. We have all seen the mass graves. Indonesian Muslims showed their hatred for Americans and other Christians who helped them to recover after the Tsunami.

The fact that American (and Israeli) uniformed regular forces have caused more casualties that the sneak-attack insurgent forces that have come against them is a result of better military discipline and equipment, not barbarism. Americans and Israelis haven't employed roadside bombs. civilian shields, suicide bombers, and Katyusha missiles filled with ball bearings to inflict casualties on unprotected civilians.

Millions of people have done really stupid things in the name of religion...or used religion as reason to gain power or money....Today most of the groups using that are Islam.....and I don't beleive that every one is bad....From what I know about Islam, true islam is a very peaceful religion....The bad thing is that the bad apples of the bunch are getting all the press here in the states and that is all we see....and I am sure it is the same for us....I will bet that the only time other countries hear about our people is when this country does something stupid....that is all we see.....People need to look at people as individuals and not as groups....there are bad apples in every culture and group but that does not make them all bad.

it really is termed collateral damage as continuously takes position in a conflict. Terrorism is a those who would strap bombs round their toddlers and sentence them to lack of existence. What the heck is incorrect with you human beings? you're nuts, out of your minds with out contact with truth and human decency. Why do not you flow to Afghanistan and cover your head and sit on a rock. there is not any justification on your terrorism and this is promoting through your pretend prophet. it is the twenty first century, not six hundred A.D.. All religions are prepared to stay mutually in peace except islam. we are stiffening our choose and responding on your chance the in ordinary words way you human beings understand...with stress. you'll FAIL.

Many lack the ability to ask questions and evaluate what they are being told by their political and religious leaders.

This is a good question, and such questions may get a few people, (such as those who have already begun to experience some cognitive dissonance) to think.
