A testable hypothesis is an idea you have than can be proven right or wrong by doing an experiment, for example, can tomatoes feel is not testable, because there is no experiment you can do to prove that right or wrong. Snails eat more in a wetter enviroment as opposed to a dryer one, you can prove by putting 2 snails in different enviroments and seeing which one eats more. Do you understand?

Testable Hypotheses

A testable hypothesis is a question that can be experimented on to determine if it is true or false.

Things like does ball A bounce higher than ball B or does a duck's quack echo are testable hypotheses. Does God exist? is not a testable hypothesis.

I hope this helps.

A testable hypothesis is a hypothesis that you can evaluate through experimentation.

If you have a hypothesis that the television will power up if you press the "on" button on the remote, you can test it by pressing the "on" button and observing whether or not it powers up.

If you have a hypothesis that the Sun is made of molasses, then you have one you can't really test (how can you get close enough to the sun to taste it? :-)

If it's testable you can experiment to either prove or disprove the hypothesis.

A hypothesis is an "educated guess". Testable means that it is confirm-able to be true (aligned with real world or not).

Just what it sounds like. An educated guess that can be tested. For example, if you used the hypothesis, "God Exists" it would be difficult to test and show evidence. Likewise, if you used, "Our river is polluted", you could test that and show evidence proving or disproving it.

Good luck!
