Is the reason for your losses a short cervix? That is why my sister-in-law lost her babies. The first was 19 weeks, the 2nd she had the stitch and still lost her baby at 22 weeks. She then went on to have a baby at 29 weeks who is now a healthy almost one year old. She doesn't ever look like a preemie.
The stitch you had...was is placed in before you got pregnant? There is a type of cervical stitch that you can get put in place before you even try to get pregnant. The odds of carrying a baby to full term are really high with this type of stitch. Only thing is...you have to have a c-section to birth the baby. the stitch can not be taken out.
Please ask you high risk OB about it.
My sister-in-law did not want to try again after loosing two. She was too scared of loosing another baby. She had a surprise pregnancy and cried and cried. But it worked out. My niece is a sweet thing and a huge blessing to her momma.
I am so sorry for your losses. I know by being my sister-in-law 'shoulder to cry on' how hard those losses can be.

I'm sorry to hear of your loses. Has the Dr. said anything about why you keep giving birth prematurely? It sounds like you might have incompetent cervix. If you do then you should get the cerclage (McDonald stitches) early in your pregnancy, and possibly stay on complete bed rest. It will be hard but probably the best thing to do. I would also, if you haven't already, ask the Dr. why this keeps happening to you.

I dont know if there is a right answer to give you. I would probably stay on bed rest as soon as you found out you were pregnant. I would also stay with the injects you received the second time in order to help keep the pregnancy. Otherwise I don't know if there is anything you can do. These things happen and they aren't your fault, therefore there really isn't anything that can prevent it from happening.
I'm sorry to hear of your situation and I hope everything works out for you.

Are you actually pregnant yet or just getting ready to try?
Have you talked to your caregiver about precautions you might need to take? Do they have any idea why you had early labors before? How closely spaced were the pregnancies?
Have you tried the Brewer pregnancy diet? It can help you to have a healthy pregnancy.
Other than that, you need to talk to your caregiver about your previous history and what precautions he thinks you need to take in order to have a healthy pregnancy and a term baby. I would guess that you will need another cerclage and that you will most likely need to be on bed rest for a long time, no sex, etc.
Did you have a doctor who is used to dealing with high risk patients last time? I might seek one out for any future pregnancies.

first off you are absolutely a saint for being able to go through that kind of situation twice, and still have the spirit to want to try again. i give you props for that. my suggestion is to talk directly to your doctor about everything let them decide the best route for you to take. i am going to assume that you are going to do a lot of bed rest, and when they say bed rest they will mean completely bed stricken. don't try to cheat by sitting up or anything like that. they will do everything they can to make sure you have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. follow all the rules they tell you too and you should be fine.the only thing you can do is try. god bless you and good luck with everything i wish you all the best.

Boy if the stich didn't help I don't know what else you could so as a precaution. Statisticly 26 weekers have more then a 50% chance of survival, even better for girls. You will need to see if you have an incompetant cervix.
