just wanna say that like marmite you'll either love x factor or you'll hate it! simple. but what is it that makes you feel the way you do about this show? and who is your fave judge? FYI : i like it during the audition rounds but i absolutely hate the showdowns. euh!
i like all the judges except louis walsh. for obvious reasons lol !

I am the same as you, I love the auditions but hate the shows! I used to think Simon C was horrible, but now I think he has got good points to say and agree with him most of the time..
The auditions are great! What planet are those people on???!!!!! Funny to watch!

I love the auditions too. I never used to like the showdown bit but last year got addicted and sense the same will happen this year too. Even though I would never have bought ANY records released by the people in it last year, I couldn't switch off.
I used to really like Sharon but now she annoys me the way that she says yes to putting people through even though she knows they're not good enough and she only says it because she knows the other two will say no and it makes her look good.
I never used to mind Louis until last year when he let those irritating Irish girls stay in the game - Jesus, we had Bewitched and the Corrs and that was enough!!
I used to hate Simon but I now happen to think that he's the most honest one there. Sometimes I think he's a bit harsh and arrogant and he plays up for the cameras, but I think he's the only one that tells the truth, however horrible it may be.
P.S. I love marmite too!

I HATE it. I can't abide the general public on tv (where it's an obvious tv setting, like on a chat show or something). It just makes me cringe. I hate that Joe Public will make a fool of themselves in front of millions when they can't sing, the deluded ones who just want to be famous, the ridiculous 'banter' between the judges, Kate Thornton feeding off the high emotions of the 'contestants', the fact that the winners get instant fame and fortune rather than actually working at being a success and therefore not really appreciating it. That each winner thinks they will be the one that last longer than 1 album and a Christmas number 1.
If it was a true talent competition then it wouldn't be so bad, but the laughing at people who can't sing part is just hideous tv.
Aargh!

I would have to say Simon. Louis just likes to annoy Simon and Sharon it depends on her mood which judge she is going to go with. I think she decides if she personally likes the person. I have seen some people who are really good but quite fragile and she lets them go through but yet there are others in the same position and she says that they would be too soft.
I dont really like the audition rounds I prefer it when it gets to boot camp.

i just love the x factor i like the auditions the best my fave judge is Simon because he is totally honest with the people who go on the show and he tells it like it is but i like Sharon and Louis too

I really fail to see how most of the contestants even in their tiniest of minds ever DREAM that they can sing, and those strange Mothers that encourage them are even worse! Most of them, I'm sure, only go on to take the piss, and what's worse, the programme producers show it to us.
As for the judges, Simon won't stand too much nonsense but he owns the company that makes the progs, the Irish bloke's only there for one thing (and it ain't girl groups...) and why the woman's there is anybody's guess.

i love x factor its the best
my fav bit is the audition rounds too seeing all those people who can't sing delude themselves into performing for the judges
Simon Cowell is my fave judge he is just saying what the rest of us are thinking and then if he tells you your good then you know you must be for him to say that to ya

Fave: Lou - hes humorous and would not take it so extreme like something else.. Hate: Simon...he used to provide them harsh grievance yet now hes very tender on them : and also you ought to tell he would not extremely care about the completed difficulty..

i like sharon because she knows her stuff and i also like simon i think he is hillarious especially when somebody who can't sing comes on he isn't afraid to tell them too a lot of people say he is rude when he is just telling them the truth there is no point in giving them false hope
