You can simply contact your service provider and ask him how to sms a friend who lives in USA, the executive will give you the instructions and If you demand he/she can also give you the code of that countary

I'm guessing you're not in the US. Here should be the format:
+1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx
The (+) can be replaced by your international LD code (probably 01). The country code for US and Canada is 1. The mobile number should be 10 digits.

if you dont know his code you can find out if u atleast know his address or atleast the name of the city that he lives in, You can find out his code through some online phone books or search engines. But if you dont know his address u simply have to wait for him to call.
