Because people are naturally curious about things they don't know about, especially things that are considered "taboo" for whatever reason. There's nothing wrong with that.

Many straight men have or have had homosexual interests at some point in time, however if it persist, you may be bisexual. Jaboo was great in providing you that information above.

As a doc of psych, I have seen a number of men who feel they might be gay, but they still enjoy sex with the opposite sex...the answer is simple to me (bisexual) but, some had rather not hear that. What answers do you want to hear? Is it going to make a difference?

If you are bisexual, it is unfortunate, from a psychological standpoint, because research has shown that bisexuals are often not satisfied with one partner. They feel "caged" and frustrated by not satisfying the OTHER needs. It can still be done. There are several tribes in Africa, where it is tradition for every male to have a wife and a male partner. Since this is part of their norm, it's....normal. Ancient Roman nobles had women and male servants that done more than serve coffee....it was normal ala customary. We are products of our environment. It is unfortunate that our NEW country has it's roots planted so deep in NEW religion.

I will be more than happy to answer your questions further, provide you journal articles (journal of psych, others) to assist you in your own research. That is where you will learn the most, on your own. Please do not put validity into EVERYTHING you read, stick to peer-reviewed, scientific journals. Take care.

Fantasies are safe. You're in control. Would you ever act it out? Probably not. It's like some people fantasizing about being tied up and molested. They're in control of the fantasy, but they'd never seek out or enjoy the real thing. They wouldn't be in control.

because of the definition of "fantasy".
Fantasies are precisely that, what you think and enjoy, but you don't allowed yourself to turn them real.
dependending on the fantasy, and on the society you live (en terms of location, culture, timing), you don't allow turn them real because of your education, because being afraid to get into jail, to be killed, etc.
Fantasies are the ground of all kind of arts.

The Kinsey Report claims that we are all on a sliding scale...

This means that you fall somewhere on this line:

I____________I______________I
Straight ........... Bi ..................... Gay

Very few people fall right on target with their sexuality (according to their researched reports) and it is normal to have some thoughts or fantasies that are not "normal" for your category...
