my periods?

i got my periods on 12 august.after 14 days today i m getting a dark
brown colored discharge .is it normal.is it that you can get pregnant
after having your periods? i m 20 yrs old.my periods were irregular
from begnning.then again after many years they have become irregular.i can"t go to see my gynac as she is in the icu,hospital

your body is flushing its self of old blood, i wouldn't worry. if you always had irregular periods. may i suggest birth control pills if you haven't already tried them they are great for regulating periods:)

It doesn't sound like pregnancy, it doesn't sound dangerous, but not really normal either. It is a hormone imbalance. I have had similar symptoms from fibroid tumor, but you are a little young for that. It Is it slowing down? If not, , and if you are not trying to get pregnant, you can go to a health food store and buy a little bottle of "Ma Huang Supreme." It is a liquid. Drink the whole bottle in one day, that should do the trick. The period will slow down and stop. If you can't get Ma Huang Supreme, get another form of ma huang and take plenty for one day. I used to take a bottle of Ma Huang Supreme every first day of my period when I had these symptoms, and my periods gradually became less each time. But if you keep having this problem month after month you should probably see your doctor to make sure it doesn't require medical intervention.

I don't see a huge issue, sometimes there is left over or small amounts of blood that comes out brownish. It happened to me when mine were irregular. Just because you can't see YOUR doctor doesn't mean you can't talk to a different one. If you are 20 and sexually active with irregular periods, I HIGHLY suggest you get birth control.
