Frankly, I take the view that Ghandi would not have compromised himself by sitting in the same room as the anti-christ. The Administration, he would have counselled to dump the loser of a leader and not to follow so sheepishly whatever they are told.
jl_jack09, I am with you.. but try feeding that to the digestive system of GWB. Impossible.

Bapu and bush have no common ground and would have disagreed on everything .
A man driven to bring rights to the working class is as diametrically opposed to the Bush philosophy as anyone can be .
Bush would be a polite listener and never say anything to openly offend anyone .
We all know how he feels about working Americans .
They are here to serve the needs of the ruling class in America .
That providing them with a little more then whats needed to survive insures there return to work each week and offering them just enough medical treatment to keep them alive while they are usefull to employers .
Then this task falls to the rest of the workers and the government as financial institutes trade among eacother to weed out and pilage the pension funds making workers rely on the governments tiny subsistance hand outs .
Increasing property taxes and forcing people to leave homes they have owned for 45 years they no longer can afford with rising health care costs not covered by medicade or medicare .
This money and assets they still have are then sucked up in the healthcare providers of retirement homes with assisted living programs at the expense of signing over all there assets. they manage a few more years before old age gets them .I would not be suprized that poor sanitation and transfer of illnesses was not responcible for the deaths of many long before there time if provided decent thoughtfull care .
THE bottom line is the almighty dollar and not the rights of the people .
SO i doubt Ghandi or any human rights advocate would have a single thing that Bush or his elitists would listen to.
The struggle for a better america is in the hands of the people and it is time we do something about it . October 1919 ring any bells . To late our steel industrie has colapsed and unions have been destroyed.Today a waiter in a trendy NewYork eatery can earn more then 3 times what a man working to rebuild homes does in the wake of Katrina . Providing people with a permanent address is less valuable then the quick butt kissing service the rich demand .
THIS is at the heart of americas problems serving the rich and there suposed special needs is pampering at an uneceptable level when they ignor the very people who make america great .
Ghanddi would tell bush of this and this would not sit well with george or any politician we have today .
America needs a man of the people to represent us .To bad Ghandi is not around to do the job .

I think Ghandi would have said, "God Help us all". Ghandi was a man of peace and great wisdom, he knew the path to follow was in fact peace-full change. Even if it cost him his life. War never solves human kinds problems, since war is about killing and peace is about living in tolerance of all of mankind, even those we know would do us harm.
Jesus knew this as the truth, when he died on the cross he ask God to "forgive the criminal" on the cross by his side. I agree with Jesus, "there is room for all at the cross" and God will make the final judgment of all mankind, not man. I think Ghandi was a Hindu but there are many who follow there own religion. Makes no difference, they all acknowledge that a higher power (Higher than man) has final control over our mankind.
