I heard about a one day course in this and that it is relatively easy to do. Is this work a viable option for a student? What does it normally pay? Will someone hire you after a one day course and if you have no experience?

usually yes they want you to have experience unless there is a shortage. Now in the medical field you NEED a degree to get anywhere!!! I am a CNA so if I took that course it would be fairly easy for me to get hired . I see jobs posted and most rewuire some experience-maybe if its a good, thorough course they may consider you. Hmmm that's a pretty tricky question. I have never heard of such a thing. But as far as getting hired in the desired job, you've got to have the experience. That's the thing about today's job course... even if you have a degree, they want experience. Seems they care less about the degrees now a days. I think it mostly boils down to someone not really wanting to take the time to train a person in order for them to GET their experience. I got fed up so decided to work from home. I found http://www.bedavis1.mywayout.net/ and fell in love with it and have been doing it since. So no more worrying if I have the experience. Robert Kiyosaki's book from his Rich Dad Poor Dad "The Business School" says this is the way to go to get on the other side of that cash flow quadrant. So I'm on my way!
Good luck on your endeavors!
