I want to read up on some 'true' vampire stories and some 'sighting' type stories. I know about lilith, elizabeth bathory and ww pool but does anyone know any more?

Read the book "Vampires" by Konstatinos, he includes others' (and his own) experience with them. It is a GREAT book about *real* vampirism, not the stuff you see in movies and on TV. Here is an amazon link to the book:

I learned a lot of what I know about vampires (and not the Anne Rice kind) when I moved to New Orleans. There is a book by one of the founders of Haunted History tours that has more information. I also think that Haunted History may have a few videos available.

Xraznudlik was a Romanian villager who invented the vampire myth as a scary bedtime story for his children - my mother traces her ancestry back to him & the story has been handed down in her family for centuries.
