It's not just women it's anyone that has insecurities about something with the opposite sex.

I'm not a jealous creature, but it takes a different kind of woman, and I suppose it has to deal with alot of what has been dealt to them in the past.
I think it is a learned behavior, a shield.
Now my husband says all the time he isn't jealous, but I see the tendencies in him when other men look a little too long.....but thats life! And he has a very flirty personality, if I was a jealous person...I'd be mad all the time, but he comes home to me!

Why are men so insecure? Why are men always thinking women are so jealous when really its men that are jealous. Or like my husband says "you make me act like im jealous"

I can only answer from my experience of being jealous of my husband. He makes me feel insecure in our relationship because he doesn't pay as much attention to me like he did before we got married, and it's only been 3 years. He pays more attention to other women, when we're out and by not complimenting me or showing me affection my self esteem drops. A woman likes to feel cherished, sexy and desired by her man. If she doesn't get that from him, then she feels jealous of any attention he pays toward other women.

I think its because we all know that men are dogs and do nothing but think about sex with every women that crosses their paths. I also find that its very hard to have true intimacy with most men. That also leads to those feelings. I find that the jealousy comes out because men just dont do what they need to do for their women to feel secure about the relationship.

I don't think all women are because I am not a jealous women but my husband now that is just another story. I think it is just people who are insecure.

We are territorial and what is ours, is ours. Men are JUST as jealous. Trust me. If a guy even LOOKS at me...my husband gets all ancy lol.....Men are just as jealous.
